Rideshare (Uber, Lyft)

Pickups and drop-offs are on the outer curb of the Departures/Upper Level, between Doors 5 and 12. Crosswalks to the outer curb are near Doors 5, 7, 8, 11 and 12.

Amtrak and MARC at the BWI rail station

A free shuttle runs 24/7 between the terminal and the MARC/Amtrak station, about every 10–15 minutes (about every 25 minutes from 1–5 a.m.). On your return, it picks up on the lower level outside baggage claim.

The BWI rail station is on MARC’s Penn Line, which serves Washington Union Station and Baltimore Penn Station. Check mta.maryland.gov and amtrak.com for schedules.

MTA Light Rail

The Light Rail stop is just outside the terminal’s lower level, next to Concourse E. It serves downtown Baltimore, Timonium and Hunt Valley. For Baltimore Penn Station, transfer at Mt. Royal Avenue. The airport lists a single $2.00 fare for both trains. Service is shorter on Sundays and holidays, so check the schedule on mta.maryland.gov first.

Local buses

Bus options include the Anne Arundel County BWI Express, the Anne Arundel County Connector and MTA Commuter Bus 201.

Private transfers

Pre-booking a private car or shared shuttle is handy for groups, families with luggage, or late-night arrivals.
