BWI security and TSA tips
- TSA recommends arriving 2 hours before domestic flights and 3 hours before international flights.
- Checkpoints B and D/E screen 24 hours. Checkpoints A and C screen from 4 a.m. to 8 p.m. Hours can change.
- TSA PreCheck lanes are at all four checkpoints. At B and D/E, PreCheck closes at 9 p.m.; at A and C, it opens based on operational need.
- CLEAR enrollment is available at Checkpoints A, B, C and D/E.
- The airport posts live checkpoint wait times on its homepage.
- Use TSA’s “What Can I Bring?” tool on tsa.gov before you pack.
